Camp was super, dude!
First activity was rock climbing. I'm the first person to climb to the top! YES! Haha no big deal lah, alot of people also climbed to the top, lol. The 'rocks' were like totally retarded. Some of them could rotate 360 degrees when you grab them, and I was like, what the hell. At least most of us where luckier than walter; two of the rocks dropped off the top when he was climbing and nearly hit him, LOL.
I love the zipline! You get a thrilling sensation when you are high up there and drop down. I didn't try the rappelling though. I also liked the campcraft station. I wanted to do the flagstaff!!! But roland took it already and I did the tent with sze jin instead. roland was like, taking on multiple girls at one time, there were alot of girls in his group sia! But still good though. We rebuilt the original tent that we used in our competition training, and although it took very long, everybody managed to get all the things together and we had a super strong structure, haha. We were all asked to get inside and they threw water and titus onto our tent. HORRIBLE, titus just suddenly landed on us and we struggled to get him off, but out tent was still standing!!! YES!
Commando crawl on the mud was not so nice but enjoyable when you know that the rest of the class did it with you. We were blindfolded but to tell you frankly I could see EVERY single thing outside. The blindfold was like, so damn thin that I was afraid they could see my eyes, HAHA. I had to pretend that I couldn't see anything, lest the instructors suspected anything. I could literally see the mud I was crawling through, and it was like a swimming pool. Horrible. samuel was behind me and kept up funny comments all the time. There was once he shouted out fuck when they splashed water and he got a warning from the instructors, super funny. And then they smeared wasabi on my lips. I was like, dying to scream. The thing was bloody hot.
Those frogs, or toads, were super irritating. I kept on waking up at night to hear the bloody croaking sounds and got extremely pissed off. They went like GUA GUA GUA GUA GUA GUA and I just COULDN'T stand it. I actually thought it was some joker from the other bunk making noises and I had the urge to throw something heavy across to them.
The kayaking was fantastic, first time being on a kayak! Banana sat in front and I went behind. We went a whole round around the kaelongs. Tiring but worth it. You have to excercise coordination when kayaking, haha, and we did that pretty well. But more interesting was the rafting. We took a full 30 minutes to discuss and explain the structure to the class. Terribly long but we got down to work fast. We used back part of the original structure of the raft we did in ATC last year and it was extremely successful! Mr tan said it was the BEST structure he'd seen out off all the classes he had taken, YES! It was hard to build as it was super heavy but everybody worked together and we got the structure and barrels up. We had like, 12 square lashings and 6 round lashings, omgoose. Haha, and it stayed afloat with 33 people on board! Total success to 3/7!!!
Of course, the climax reached during the campfire. GG and NP had to lead the whole sec3 to the campfire songs but I thought that it was a major cock-up. We initially decided not to sing the fast version of 'campfire's burning', and yet suddenly from jia jun's side came the song and we were like, oh shit. Most of the songs were a disaster but the best was cannibal king and the friendship dance. aaron danced the cannibal king with ms yeo! HAHA, super funny. I danced with ms soh, but forgot to take her out!!! The friendship dance was great but we were supposed to go in the anti-clockwise direction, not clockwise. Class performances were entertaining and funny, but I don't think many people understood our performance, but whatever lah. Cheerleading and pom poms ROCK, so don't argue.
We left soon after the campfire and mr paul low sent us home. Quite sad lah, just after the campfire when everybody was getting high we had to leave. And I'm grateful to our class because they cheered us on even though we were ditching them before the break of camp.
3/7 really got together and bonded like elephant-brand glue. At first, our class was like, totally no life and no spirit. Not everybody was enthusiastic. But this camp really got us together and make us know each other more. It brought out the best in people where we usually wouldn't see it. Like eugene. You should have seen him, he was like, totally enthu in the activities and very participative, lol. This camp was super great in my opinion and we should probably have another one like this in the future, haha.
Three Cheers to 3/7!!!
